More about Wisconsin

You may have seen the “cheese heads” while watching a Green Bay Packers football game, symbolizing Wisconsin’s significance in dairy production. This state is a leading producer of cheese, milk, butter and other dairy products which reflects the extent of the rural nature of the economy here. But while farming and agriculture are mainstays, the state has its share of big cities including Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay. Wisconsin's capital is Madison, and with nearly 600,000 residents, the largest city is Milwaukee.

The Largest employers here are retail service providers such as Wal-Mart, Target and Menards as well as healthcare services. However you may be moving here to work for a food producers such as Ocsar Mayer, Kraft and brewers including Miller Brewing Company which also have a large impact on Wisconsin’s economy.

The state has many higher learning institutions with the University of Wisconsin leading the way with the 16-campus Wisconsin Technical College System and Marquette University also accounting for large student populations.
